Franklin Supervisors approve a resolution related to carbon pipelines

Today the Franklin County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution objecting to the Iowa Utilities Commission authority to enact eminent domain authority within Franklin County for privately owned and operated carbon dioxide pipelines.

In other business, the Franklin supervisors discussed the possibility of adding electronic means to every regular board meeting going forward. The board requested the county auditor gather some information and bring it back next week.

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors also discussed the possibility of requiring cybersecurity training for all employees and elected officials.

The supervisors then directed county I-T Director Gabe Johanns to work with the county H-R director to draft a policy.
