Ellsworth Community College has announced the hiring of Blake Walker as the head coach of its women’s wrestling program. Walker, a former ECC student-athlete and current welding instructor, brings a wealth of wrestling experience and a deep connection to this newly created position.
As a student-athlete at ECC from 2015 to 2017, Walker was a two-time national qualifier and an NJCAA All-American in 2016. He was a key member of the 2016 team that finished third in the NJCAA tournament, boasting seven All-Americans and the highest team finish in program history. The team also secured a second-place finish at the National Duals that year.
In addition to his coaching duties, Walker will continue to serve as a welding instructor at ECC.
