Parkersburg Fun Days will begin Friday with events downtown.
Organizing committee member Megan Kalkwarf says most of Friday’s events will surround the carnival.
“The downtown carnival is from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and then we’re going to have things going on in between there, like the 6:30 announcing of the duck winners, at 6:45 announcing of the Citizen of the Year, the little Mr. and Mrs. Parkersburg. At 7:00, Parker Place is putting on the glow walk and run. 7:30 we’ll have a foam cannon in front of the library, and at 8:00 we’re going to end with the band.”
“Vivance,” a 1970s rock band, will perform at 8:00 to end the day’s activities.
Saturday’s events include the parade at 9:00 a.m., a tractor pull, the live band “Kick,” and many other activities.
