AGWSR Alumna and 2024 Wartburg graduate cross-country and track and field runner Aubrie Fisher has been nominated by the American Rivers Conference for the NCAA Woman of the Year award.

The award honors graduating female student-athletes who have exhausted their eligibility and distinguished themselves throughout their collegiate careers. Nominees for the honor meet the four pillars of the Woman of the Year Award: academics, athletics, service, and leadership.

Fisher over her five year career at Wartburg was a 15 time All-American and tracked down two national titles in the 3,000m steeplechase (2021,2023), and a national title in the distance medley relay (2022). Fisher was also an eight time all-academic honoree with four selections by A-R-C and four by USTFCCCA.

The Top 30 honorees will be announced later this fall. From there, the selection committee will narrow the pool to three finalists from each division.

The NCAA Committee on Women’s Athletics will select the 2024 Woman of the Year from the nine finalists and will be announced in January at the 2025 NCAA Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.
