Iowa DNR releases a list of maintenance projects at the state parks

Iowa state parks have pending maintenance projects costing a total of almost 67-million dollars, according to a list produced by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.

The DNR identified 641 different maintenance projects in the 83 state parks and other recreational facilities run by the DNR, totaling up to $66,888,225.

There is a wide variety of maintenance requests amongst the state park system. These vary from replacing maintenance shops, to refinishing cabins, new roofs and windows on existing buildings, and replacing bathrooms and playground equipment.

The state parks include Beeds Lake at Hampton and Pine Lake at Eldora.
