A man who illegally returned to the United States after being deported was sentenced Thursday to more than 3 months in federal prison.
37-year-old Secundino Garcia-Lopez, a citizen of Guatemala illegally present in the U-S and residing in Ackley, received the prison term after a June guilty plea to one count of illegal reentry into the United States after having been deported.
Garcia-Lopez was previously deported in August of 2012, and was picked up again on April 23rd of this year after being arrested on state charges.
