The Parkersburg City Council held a regular meeting on Monday, August 5.

They approved a bid for asphalt patching on Northside Road, and accepted a bid not to exceed $27,000 for storm sewer intake repairs at the intersection of Wemple Street and Miners Street.

City Engineer Lee Gallentine provided a cost estimate of $1.8 million to reconstruct Johnson Street between Wemple Street and Highway 57/14. No action was taken. Gallentine provided an updated engineering services agreement for the design and construction of Parkersburg Trail Project Phase 2 through Schwartz Park to Florence Street, which was approved.

They also approved two change orders regarding the water tower project to provide temporary water storage and maintain system pressure by the contractor.
