The West Fork football team will look to take another step forward this season after going 3-6 last year.
They’ll begin the season with a neutral site game against Clayton Ridge at Wartburg College. The Warhawks won 20-12 in the same location last year. In Week 2, they’ll open district play at Newman Catholic, where they’ll meet the Knights for the fifth straight season and first time in Mason City since 2021.
They’ll play the final non-district game in Week 3 at North Butler. The Bearcats have won three straight in the series. The home opener is in Week 4, where the Warhawks will host Lake Mills, their most common opponent in history. The Bulldogs have won five straight in the series, and it’ll be the first meeting in Sheffield since 2021.
In Week 5, the Warhawks will visit West Hancock, a program they’ve never beaten in nine tries. North Union will visit Sheffield in Week 6.
The Warhawks will host Saint Ansgar in Week 7 for the home finale. They’re 0-15 all-time against the Saints. The regular season will close in Week 8 with a trip to Belmond-Klemme, who the Warhawks defeated 14-8 last year.
