Tuesday Shawn Ellerbroek, the Democratic candidate for the Iowa House 57 seat, will hold a meet and greet event at the Parkersburg Civic Center beginning at 6pm.
Ellerbroek, of Waverly, is a member of the Waverly-Shell Rock School Board, and is a chemistry professor at Wartburg College.
His opponent in the November election is Iowa House Speaker Pat Grassley of New Hartford.
Iowa House 57 covers all of Butler County and the western portion of Bremer County.
