Hardin Supervisors place a hotel/motel tax proposal on the November ballot

This week the Hardin County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution to place a measure on the November 5th ballot to impose a local hotel/motel tax in the unincorporated area of Hardin County.

The measure calls for the tax to be at a rate of 7 percent, with 50 percent of the collected revenue to be spent on economic development.

The Hardin supervisors also approved a resolution to define and clarify the freedom of information act request process fees and timeline.
