More charges have been filed against a 38-year-old Hampton man who was arrested August 15th after an investigation was conducted in Franklin County regarding flyers attached to local Hispanic businesses. Daniel Embree is alleged to have placed flyers on the doors of the Hispanic businesses on August 13th that included the words “USA Illegal Immigrant Hunting Permit”. He was originally charged with 8 counts of first degree harassment, and has now been charged with 8 additional counts of 5th degree criminal mischief-hate crime.

Embree is also facing the charges of trespass-hate crime and first degree harassment from another alleged incident that took place in Franklin County on June 1st.

And KWWL-TV is reporting today that Embree was arrested for 3rd degree harassment after the state claims he distributed flyers inside of the Cedar Falls Public Library. The flyers that were left behind were indicating threats towards immigrants who were in the U-S illegally, and were placed on shelves and also in a book that was written in Spanish. Embree is accused of leaving the flyers in the library days before the police report was made in Cedar Falls.
