The Iowa Falls-Alden/AGWSR, North Butler and West Fork cross country teams will run at NIACC as part of Newman Invite on Tuesday. For both teams this will be their first meet of the new season.
The Iowa Falls-Alden/AGWSR girls lead runner is returning Class 3A state qualifier sophomore Dani Rieks who’s best time was 20:53.70 last season. The boys top returner is senior Hunter Miller who ran a 18:53.30 last season.
The North Butler girls return Class 1A state qualifier sophomore Addison Voelker is ranked #7 in the Class 1A IATC preseason rankings. Voelker’s best time last season was a 19:07.90. The North Butler boys team returns two runners that ran under 17:20 last season, including Class 1A state qualifier sophomore Ezra Almelien at 17:14.20 and junior Trager Pecha at 17:17.
The West Fork girls return senior Tarah Ruckdahsel and sophomore Evelyn Hitzhusen who ran 22 minute times last season. The Warhawk boys are led by senior Xavier Baptiste who ran a 18:09.42 last season.
The meet is scheduled to start at 4:30 p.m.
