Several local runners earned top 15 placings at the Newman Invite at NIACC on Tuesday.
Individually, the IFA/AGWSR girls were paced by a 2nd place finish for Demi Beaubien in 20:28.9, Piper Smith placed 10th in 22:13.6 and Chloe Stilwel was 15th in 23:09.
North Butler was led by Addison Voelker on the girls side placing 4th in 20:53.6. On the boys side, Trager Pecha crossed 4th in 18:08.3 and Ezra Almelien was 5th in 18:11.
The West Fork girls were led by Evelyn Hitzhusen in 12th in 22:35.5. The front runner for the boys was Xavier Baptiste who took 15th in 19:18.4.
In the girls team race IFA/AGWSR was 1st, West Fork was 4th, and North Butler didn’t register a team score.
In the boys team race North Butler was 3rd, West Fork was 4th and IFA/AGWSR placed 7th.
North Butler returns to the course on Thursday for a meet at Charles City.
IFA/AGWSR’s next meet will be the Dick Pollitt Classic in Waverly on September 10.
West Fork will be at the R.S. Belmond-Klemme Invite on September 10th
