Local Schools Competed in First XC Races at Webster City Invite on Tuesday

Several local runners earned top 25 placings at the Webster City Invite at Links Public Golf Course on Tuesday.

Hampton-Dumont-CAL had eight runners finish the race in the top 25. Five different Bulldog girls completed the task with MacKenzy Valley in 17th in 24:33.40, Brooklyn Valley was 19th in 24:39.30, in 20th was Lily Hambly in 24:40.10, 23rd was Jordan Valley in 25:03.60, and Marlee Maas was 24th in 25:07.80. The H-D-CAL boys were led by Conner Miller in 20th in 19:57.80, Isaac Vosburg was 23rd in 20:07.10 and William Vosburg in 25th in 20:19.60.

Belmond-Klemme/Clarion-Goldfield-Dows had three runners cross the finish line inside the top 25. For the girls team Avery Boeshart placed 25th in 25:11.20. For the boys team it was Christopher Greenfield in 17th in 19:52.5 and Tate Jackson in 22nd in 20:04.7.

In the girls team race, Roland-Story was 1st, H-D-CAL was 3rd and Belmond-Klemme didn’t register a team score.

In the boys team race, Algona was 1st, H-D-CAL was 7th and Belmond-Klemme was 8th.

The next meet for both teams will be the R.S. Belmond-Klemme Invite on September 10th.
