North Butler Head Coach Sarah Goodrich

“We didn’t come out with that excitement, energy and potential that we truly have,” says Goodrich. “There was many times that we were down and we came back pushing, unfortunately it was a little too late. There was definitely some momentum that we just couldn’t get, we were making the errors and they just kept giving it back to us. Great game to Newman, we’re definitely learning from it and putting it in our past.”

Olivia Dralle led the Bearcats with five kills and three aces, and Ameila Thompson added four kills.

North Butler (2-5 overall, 1-1 in Top of Iowa East) will host Central Springs on Thursday.
