Clarion City Council receives information on proposed changes for water billing

The Clarion City Council this week heard from city administrator Clint Middleton who brought to the council some changes city staff want to have made to the water billing ordinance.

This would include changing the due date for payments from the 15th of the month to the 20th of the month and having the cut-off time after a weekend/holiday landing on the 20th be at noon the following day.

Middleton also asked that the city add a fee to all door hangers that get delivered. He says some of the surrounding towns do this, and the city needs to start curbing this issue as it is mostly repeat customers monthly, which has been averaging over 60 a month.

The Clarion City Council agreed for the draft of the ordinances to be made for the next council meeting.
