Yesterday about 1:30pm the Hampton Fire Department was called out on the report of a garage on fire at 813 2nd Avenue Southeast. No injuries reported.
Firefighters were able to confine the fire to the attached garage, but there was some smoke damage reported in the home.
The cause is under investigation as firefighters were on the scene for about 45 minutes.
Assisting agencies were the Hampton Police Department, Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, and FGH Ambulance.
