Thursday night the Hampton City Council received a request for permission to close South Federal Street from Highway 3 to 1st Avenue Southwest on October 9th from 8:30-10:30am, for an Old Military Convoy that will be passing through and stopping for the community to see.
A motion was made to amend the request, which failed on a 3-2 vote.
The Hampton City Council then approved the original street closure request on a 4-0 vote.
