Around 4:15pm Monday the Dumont Fire Department was called out on the report of a hoop building on fire with hay inside at 11-565 260th Street southwest of Dumont. No injuries reported.
The Dumont Fire Department received assistance from the Aplington and Ackley Fire Departments for water.
Some of the firefighters remained on the scene for up to 7 hours.
