North Butler, West Fork take home top-10 finishes at R.S. Belmond-Klemme Invitational

Local cross country teams competed at Tuesday’s R.S. Belmond-Klemme Cross Country Invitational.

Local girls team standings:
4. West Fork – 125
6. Hampton-Dumont-CAL – 151
7. Belmond-Klemme – 162

The top local finisher was North Butler’s Addison Voelker, who took second in the girls race in 20:51.6, four seconds behind her season-best. West Fork’s Evelyn Hitzhusen placed eighth in 22:19.6. Hampton-Dumont-CAL’s MacKenzy Valley cut off 31 seconds to place 20th in 24:02.9. Belmond-Klemme’s Lila Swenson placed 17th in 23:40.4.

3. North Butler – 118
7. West Fork – 195
10. Hampton-Dumont-CAL – 252
12. Belmond-Klemme – 294

The Bearcats were led by a 10th place finish by Trager Pecha in 18:16.4. Xavier Baptise led West Fork by running 18:44.5 to place 16th. Conner Miller paced Hampton-Dumont-CAL by placing 20th in 19:07.7. Christopher Greenfield placed 32nd to lead Belmond-Klemme in 19:32.5.
