The city council in Grundy Center this week approved the reimbursement of half of the training fees for eligible lifeguards at the swimming pool.
The Grundy Center council approved the purchase of office equipment for the police department, as the police chief reported that one desk was being held together with tape and needed to be replaced.
Members of the Public Works Committee of the council also discussed a street sweeper fire and working with the insurance company to determine the next steps in the process.
