The AGWSR volleyball team earned a 3-0 sweep at East Marshall Tuesday. The Cougars won by set scores of 25-18, 25-19, 25-11. It was the team’s first three-set sweep of the season.
In the first set, the Cougars led by as many as 10 points before the Mustangs lessened the margin near the end. Set 2 was the closest of the night. The Cougars scored the first nine points of the set and held 11-point leads on three occasions. East Marshall scored four points when AGWSR had set point before the final point was recorded. The Cougars had their most decisive win of the night in set 3 to close the match.
AGWSR (6-10, 2-1 NICL-W) will return to action Saturday at a tournament at #11 (1A) Gladbrook-Reinbeck.
