The popular food storage brand, Tupperware has recently filed for bankruptcy. A quote from the brands CEO Ann Goldman, ” Over the past several years, the company’s financial; position has been severely impacted by the challenging macroeconomic environment.” Tupperware has been known for direct to consumer sales like Avon. New trends and new generations have been moving towards using less plastic, especially with food storage, opting for glass and ceramic containers. The brand Tupperware may move away from “Tupperware parties” and sell via stores like Target. With this news I recommend grabbing your Tupperware favorites from your local Tupperware dealer before there is a change in production or availability. The large bowls, pickle, and cereal containers have been a main stay in my life growing up, and many others. Sad to see this iconic brand having troubles. Hopefully they find a way to stay and keep selling their products to loyal fans of the brand.
