AP School Board discusses board policies and more Monday

The Aplington-Parkersburg School Board met Monday.

Among the action items, they approved three out-of-state FFA trips, approved the first readings of two board policies, approved the purchase of a commercial lawn mower, and a daycare agreement with KidQuest.

As part of Superintendent Travis Fleshner’s report, he shared that a facility planning committee meeting will soon be scheduled, that the corner property purchase near the main high school driveway has been finalized, that the property on the north end of the high school baseball field proposal is waiting for follow-up from the City of Parkersburg, and that dual sports will be on October’s agenda, among other items.

The next meeting will be Monday, October 21 at 6:00 p.m.
