Grain bins, forage storage silos, liquid storage tanks, manure storage facilities, and even transport vehicles are common confined spaces on farms.
Never work alone in a confined space, having a second person can make sure you stay safe and quickly get help if something goes wrong.
Today’s topic as part of National Farm Safety and Health Week is confined spaces.
In addition, whenever possible, don’t enter a grain bin. If you must enter the bin be sure to wear the right equipment and work in pairs to prevent grain entrapment and engulfment.
