The Clarksville football team will look to make the most of their return home with a goal of keeping pace in 8-Player District 4 as they host Tripoli on Friday.
Clarksville (2-2, 1-1 district) lost 64-12 in district play at Janesville last week. The Indians will look to get back into their offensive groove behind the running duo of Nathan Moon with 467 yards and Kaiven Kielman with 171 yards. The Indians defense allowed seven points or less in two of their last three games, and will look to return to that output against the Panthers.

“It is time to really let it soak in before the game kicks off and we need to be at home right now after that loss, so it’s nice that we’re gonna have that,” says Bohlen. “We gotta put pressure on them and that’s gonna help our DB’s. The speed factor in the backfield on defense is kind of a thing that is a concern for us. In order to counter that, we have to put a lot more pressure on them with our front guys and our linebackers. We’ve been doing a great job with that and mixing it up, and we have got to continue to do that.”
The Indians defense has eight tackles for loss and has forced seven turnovers this season.
Tripoli (0-3, 0-1 district) lost 58-37 at home to Central Elkader in their final non-district game last week. The Panthers are led by all-around player Drew Urbanek with 245 passing yards, 51 rushing yards, five total touchdowns, while also leading the defense with 21 tackles.
Clarksville won last year’s meeting 68-14 in Tripoli.
Kickoff is at 7:00 p.m. in Clarksville.
