This week the Alden School Board decided to not offer an Early Retirement plan for this school year.
The Alden board reviewed the preliminary headcount of students from the first day of school, and the district is tentatively down 10 students. The official headcount for this school year is on October 1st.
And the Alden School Board approved a new air conditioning unit for the music room. The current unit stopped working as school started and replacement parts are now obsolete.
