The Hampton-Dumont-CAL, Iowa Falls-Alden/AGWSR, North Butler and West Fork cross country teams will take the course at the Central Springs Invitational on Thursday. It will be a busy midseason meet with 18 teams in attendance.
For Hampton-Dumont-CAL this will be their second meet of the week. The girls enter off a 3rd place finish at the Riverhawk Invite at Mason City on Tuesday. The girls were paced by MacKenzy Valley in 11th (22:13.9). The boys placed 10th, and were led by a 24th place time by Conner Miller in 18:49.8.
For IFA/AGWSR this will be their second meet of the week after teams ran at Humboldt Invite on Monday. The girls finished 3rd and the boys were 9th. The front runners for the girls were Demi Beaubien in 4th (21:37) and Piper Smith in 8th (21:56.7). The boys top finisher was Hunter Miller in 33rd (20:33.6).
North Butler will run in its first meet since September 19th at Clear Lake. The North Butler boys are ranked 20th in Class 1A. Ezra Almelien turned in the top time in their last meet at 18:17.9 (8th). Addison Voelker is ranked #17 in the Class 1A girls individual poll. Voelker crossed the finish line in 20:25 (4th) at Osage Invite on Tuesday, September 17th.
West Fork will also return to course for first time since September 19th at Clear Lake. Evelyn Hitzhusen led the girls in 23:11 (17th) and Ashyr Wiseman turned in the top time for the boys in 20:06 (45th).
The meet begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Pioneer Town and Country Club in Manly.
