The #7 (2A) Aplington-Parkersburg volleyball team went 4-1 and placed second at Saturday’s tournament at Dunkerton.

In the opener, the Falcons dominated Clarksville 21-2, 21-6. They hit .391, and no player had more than three kills. The team recorded six aces, including four by Peyton Klooster.
The Falcons defeated Crestwood 2-0, 21-7, 21-9. Klooster had 10 kills, and the team benefited from numerous Crestwood service errors.
In a closer match, the Falcons defeated the hosts 2-0, 21-15, 22-20. Klooster and Zoey Uhlenhopp each had six kills in a match where the team was held to a .189 efficiency. It was a perfect match at the service line with 11 aces, including three apiece by Klooster and Bella Buseman.
AP defeated #7 (1A) BCLUW 2-1, 23-25, 25-8, 15-7. Peyton Klooster led with 16 kills and Jenzen Klooster added 11. Emma Wolff led with 11 digs; Kennedy Kalkwarf and Adria Neymeyer each had 10.
They lost in the final match to #1 (1A) Ankeny Christian 2-0, 25-15, 25-21 in their second meeting of the season. Peyton Klooster had 13 kills. Kalkwarf had 15 digs and Neymeyer had 13.
AP (21-5) will host Columbus Catholic Tuesday for Senior Night.
