The IFA/AGWSR and South Hardin cross country teams will join teams from several other conferences at a meet hosted by Nevada Monday.

The boys race is expected to be dominated by #1 (3A) Gilbert, which enters with the top six fastest times among the field. In fact, all five scoring runners are ranked in the top 14 of the 3A individual rankings. #16 (3A) Nevada and #18 (2A) Roland-Story are also likely to contend. South Hardin’s Gavin Runyon enters with the 30th-fastest time in the field, and IFA/AGWSR’s Sam Kirchhoff has the 29th-fastest time.

In the girls race, IFA/AGWSR’s Demi Beaubien is likely to contend for the top spot, entering with the second-fastest time in the field at 19:57. That mark is seven seconds behind Gilbert’s Sarah Feddersen. South Hardin’s Mya Wilaby has the 16th-fastest time among competitors. #10 (3A) Gilbert is the likely team frontrunner, but will be challenged by #13 (3A) North Polk, #11 (2A) PCM and #17 (2A) Roland-Story.

Varsity action will begin at 5:10 p.m. at Hickory Grove Park.
