Beaubien, Smith lead IFA/AGWSR girls to fifth place in Nevada

The IFA/AGWSR girls cross country team had two top-10 finishes to place fifth as a team at Monday’s Nevada Cross Country meet.

In a field of several ranked teams, IFA/AGWSR scored 129 points, one point shy of fourth place. Demi Beaubien placed second in 20:56 for her second runner-up finish of the season, and Piper Smith placed eighth in 22:07. Both times were approximately one minute slower than their season-bests. South Hardin’s only runner, Mya Wilaby, placed 29th in 23:37.

In the boys race, South Hardin placed seventh with 214 points, led by a 32nd place finish by Gavin Runyon in 19:55. Iowa Falls-Alden placed ninth with 220 points, and was led by a 25th place finish by Sam Kirchoff in 19:35.
