CGD Head Coach Jessica Nail on playing to full potential.
“Humboldt‘s a great team, they always have been. I’m glad we get them at home, we just gotta go out and play to our full potential. There’s no point in playing timid for that one,” says Nail. “Right now, they’re a strong team, so we just have to go out and do everything we can on our side. Continue to play together, make smart choices at the net. We’re not always getting great passes, so our hitters just have to learn to just play smart and adjust to what they’re given. They’re a great team, so we might as well just go out and play hard and see what happens.”
Humboldt (14-8, 4-0 NCC) went 3-2 at Spencer tournament on Saturday. The Wildcats will play their first conference match since September 19th which was a 3-0 win over Iowa Falls-Alden. Mia Schulter sets the tone for Wildcats attack with a conference best 167 kills.
The Wildcats won last year’s meeting 3-1 at home.
