The #7 (2A) Aplington-Parkersburg volleyball team celebrated Senior Night and earned a 3-0 sweep of Columbus Catholic in Tuesday’s NICL-Central finale.
In the first set, the Falcons started slow with a 6-1 deficit. But they eventually cranked up the intensity for a 25-13 win. Trailing 3-1 in set 2, the Falcons scored nine straight and went on to win an identical 25-13 set. In the finale, the Falcons pulled off the most lopsided set of the night, 25-10.
AP (22-5, 2-2 NICL-C) will return to action in next week’s conference tournament.
