
Bouncing back from losing all sets at a Monday quad, the Hampton-Dumont-CAL volleyball team earned a 3-1 home win over Garner-Hayfield-Ventura Tuesday in non-conference action.
In a close match, the widest deciding margin in any set was five. The Bulldogs dropped the opener, but came back for a backdoor sweep, winning 23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-22.
Aubryee Showalter led with 15 kills, and Addison Aalbers added 14, a career-high. In digs, Showalter had 23, Abby Drier had 19 and Aalbers had 15. The team recorded 10 aces, including three by Drier.
Hampton-Dumont-CAL (10-8, 3-2 NCC) will return to action Thursday, October 10 by hosting Iowa Falls-Alden.
