The Hampton-Dumont-CAL cross country team will race on a course they know better than any other as they host several area teams including Clarksville and West Fork for their Bulldog Cross Country meet on Thursday at Maynes Grove.
For H-D-CAL this will be their first meet since Central Springs Invite on September 26th. The Bulldog girls placed 8th and the boys were 9th at Central Springs. MacKenzy Valley has paced the girls team entering off a 29th place finish in 22:49. Conner Miller has the top time for the boys team in 19:04 that earned 32nd.
For West Fork this will be their second meet of the week after running at Garner-Hayfield-Ventura Invite on Monday. The Warhawk boys placed 3rd and the girls were 5th at GHV. The Warhawk girls were led by two top 20 finishes by Evelyn Hitzhusen in 22:37.8 (16th) and Addyson Moellers in 23:06 (19th). The Warhawk boys turned in two top 15 times by Xavier Haller in 17:54 (10th) and Ashyr Wiseman in 18:29.5 (14th).
For Clarksville this will be their first race since Sam Iverson Invite at Grundy Center on September 26th. Eve Jordan is the front runner for the girls team with a season best time of 24:11.
Other teams taking part in the meet include Central Springs, Garner-Hayfield-Ventura, Janesville, Nashua-Plainfield, Osage and Tripoli.
The varsity girls race is scheduled for 4:40 p.m. followed by the varsity boys race at 5:10 p.m. at Maynes Grove.
