Last night officials with the Hampton-Dumont School District were made aware of a social media post regarding a potential threat at Hampton-Dumont High School that was circulating online.
After thorough investigations in the matter by local and state law enforcement agencies along with district officials, this matter has been deemed as a non-credible threat.
Local law enforcement and district officials again are confident that it remains safe to educate the students at school and are operating as normal. There is no on-going threat to H-D High School.
This follows what was deemed to be a credible threat from an alleged incident at Hampton-Dumont High School on Monday.
Thursday afternoon Hampton Police announced that a 16-year-old juvenile had been charged with a threat of terrorism and for 1st degree harassment from what allegedly took place earlier this week.
