Jackson Mulder and Emma Wolff were named the Aplington-Parkersburg Homecoming King and Queen at Thursday night’s coronation, as aired on 99 The Wave.

Wolff says it’s been a busy, but fun week.

“It’s been a very busy week,” Wolff says. “I don’t think I’ve been to bed before midnight this week. It’s just a lot of up late for homecoming halls, Lip syncs, Powder puff practice. It’s all a lot of stress, but it’s all really fun. So I think I’ll miss it next year.”

Mulder, an offensive and defensive lineman, encourages the community to attend and support Friday’s game against Central Springs.

“I think we just really got momentum under us last week with our win and I think the team’s ready to really carry that into this week,” Mulder says. “And I think we had a great week of practice and we’re just ready to go this week.”

Others on the court included Bella Buseman, Quinnlyn Schultz, Savannah Ascher, Ada Switzer, Gavin Bernard, Caleb Campbell, Preston Janssen and Ty Luhring.

Friday’s events include a community tailgate at Kothe Memorial Library from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the parade at 2:00 p.m., and a pep rally after the parade at the high school. The game will kick off at 7:00 p.m.
