The MVPA-HA Convoy Command says its next transcontinental convoy began last week at the Minnesota border, and is retracing the historic 1918 Jefferson Highway route from northern Minnesota to New Orleans, in 30 days, driving over 25-hundred miles.
The Jefferson Highway 2024 convoy has been designed to encompass American history along the route with multiple stops at historic sites, ending at the National World War 2 Museum in New Orleans.
The convoy will be in Mason City for a rest stop, and then on Wednesday morning, the convoy will travel down Highway 65 and stop at Band Shell Park in Hampton to be on display that day around 9am.
There are 30 vehicles traveling the convoy.
