Numerous schools from the NICL and other conferences will compete at Tuesday’s Dike-New Hartford Cross Country Invitational at Fox Ridge Golf Course. Aplington-Parkersburg, Clarksville, Grundy Center, IFA/AGWSR and the hosts will represent local schools in attendance.
The boys race will feature three local student-athletes with a chance to contend. Grundy Center’s Emerson Vokes enters with the fastest time in Class 2A this season at 15:20, which also leads the field of competitors. Dike-New Hartford’s Bryan Munguia-Chavez and Aplington-Parkersburg’s Ty Luhring have each run 17:27 this season, which represents the 10th-fastest time in the field.
Grundy Center’s Grace Storjohann enters with the fourth-fastest time in the girls race at 19:38. IFA/AGWSR’s Demi Beaubien has the seventh-fastest time in the field at 19:57.
The first varsity race will be at 5:45 p.m.
