Flu vaccinations are now available at Hansen Family Hospital clinics, which have local locations in Ackley and Iowa Falls.
The single-dose vaccine protects against the most highly anticipated strains of the influenza virus for the upcoming season. High dose vaccinations are also available for ages 65 and older. Hansen Family Hospital recommends that children six months through eight-years-old not previously vaccinated should be vaccinated with two doses at least four weeks apart.
Appointments are encouraged, and walk-ins will be accommodated.
