Monday night the Rowan City Council voted to raise the base water rate to $32.15 and to increase it by 10 percent after 6 months, and then another 10 percent 6 months after that.
Then to raise the rate 5 percent every 6 months for 5 years, or until it’s decided and amended otherwise.
The city clerk will draft an ordinance amendment for the November council meeting.
