The West Fork volleyball team will look to put a stop to a four-match slide as they host Nashua-Plainfield in Top of Iowa-East play on Tuesday. The match will air 104.9 KLMJ.
West Fork (5-8, 2-3 TIC-East) will play their first match in a week since a 3-0 loss at North Butler on October 1st. The hitting duo of Leah Weaver with 57 kills and Brylie Hubka with 55 kills have completed scoring opportunities for the Warhawks. Abby Schoning helps keep the Warhawks offense on schedule with a team leading 159 assists.
West Fork Head Coach Emily Greimann on a driving force for the team and goals entering the remainder of season.
“They continue to stay hungry, continue to want to learn, and that’s all we can ask,” says Greimann. “Going into the last half of the season, I’m just looking for more success and seeing the girls get the results that they want because of the work they’ve put in. Really excited for that and ready to get going with it.”
Nashua-Plainfield (8-10, 2-4 TIC-East) fell 3-1 at Belmond-Klemme in a cross-conference match. Junior Kami Hanneman is the center of the offense entering the week with 255 assists (fourth most in TIC-East). Senior Paige Franzen has been the Huskies top attacker with 79 kills.
The Huskies have won three straight in the series, including a 3-0 win in Nashua last season.
