The Iowa Department of Natural Resources recently released new construction announcements for several proposed projects, including a couple in the local area.
One of the projects involves a wastewater connection at Beeds Lake State Park near Hampton. The project consists of decommissioning the existing sanitary lagoon and constructing a 3-point-4 mile sewer force main that connects the park to the City of Hampton.
Another project involves campground improvements at Clear Lake State Park.
This project includes replacing water lines, extending water lines, installing 11 community hydrants, construction of 27 new 50-amp electric camp sites and 7 full hook-up sites.
