Today about 2am the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department received the report of a single vehicle accident along 150th Street, or county road B-60, just west of Quince Avenue. This would be on the southeast side of Rockwell.
33-year-old Jason Merfeld of Rockwell was traveling west on 150th Street when he lost control of a Chevrolet K1500 pickup truck. The vehicle entered the south ditch and came back onto the road, rolled upside down, resting in the middle of the road.
Merfeld was treated at the scene for minor injuries, and was later transported privately by a family member to the hospital.
Assisting agencies were the Rockwell and Mason City Fire Departments.
