The Hampton-Dumont-CAL volleyball team will host North Butler, Lake Mills and Nashua-Plainfield for a quad Tuesday that’ll air on 104.9 KLMJ. It’ll also be the team’s Pink Out Night for breast cancer awareness.
Hampton-Dumont-CAL coach Sarah Miller says it’s an important night for the community to be involved in.
“So proud to be able to partner with the hospital and to just show just appreciation with them as far as helping out those patients that are affected by breast cancer,” Miller says. “Super excited for that. I’m hoping that our community can come and support. It’s gonna be a little bit different night with having a quad on a weeknight. So with two nets, it’s gonna go quick, but just hope that everyone can come out and support and be a part of that great cause.”
The team is looking for sponsors for players to support breast cancer awareness. All proceeds will go to Franklin General Hospital.
The Bulldogs (14-10) will continue a long homestand, coming off a 2-2 outing at their home tournament Saturday.
North Butler (6-18) last competed at a tournament at Oelwein on Saturday, October 5, where they went 2-2.
The quad will take place on two courts in the gym. The Bulldogs and Bearcats will meet at 6:00 on 104.9 KLMJ. At 7:00, play-by-play coverage for North Butler vs. Lake Mills and periodic updates of Hampton-Dumont-CAL vs. Nashua-Plainfield will be provided.
