The superintendent of the Eldora-New Providence and Hubbard-Radcliffe School Districts, Dr. Adam Zellmer, is resigning from his position at the end of the current school year.

Zellmer says this year marks his 19th year in public education, and his 13th year as a school building or district level administrator.

Zellmer says working with kids and positively impacting their lives has always been his passion and purpose. However, he adds that the evolving and varying demands of his current role as a shared superintendent have greatly limited the amount of direct interaction with the kids.

He says he wants the South Hardin Schools to have the opportunity to hire the best superintendent possible to lead their districts in the year ahead. Zellmer adds that there are currently 9 other districts across the state who already know that they will need to find a new superintendent before next school year.
