Last week the Sheffield City Council discussed how to move forward with a possible new fire station.
The Sheffield Fire Department would like to proceed forward to get a new station on the next ballot.
The city clerk was asked to talk with the bonding company to see if a bond would cover the engineering fees to start the process. The city clerk was also asked to talk with the WHKS firm to see what the exact costs of engineering would be on a possible 1-point-5-million dollar project.
The topic of a new fire station will be discussed at the next Sheffield City Council meeting in November.
