The Aplington-Parkersburg School Board met Monday.
Among action items, they approved to offer high school dual sports, beginning spring 2025. They approved the application to the School Budget Review Committee in the amount of $44,079.45 for special education costs during the 2023-24 school year. They approved the addition of an English Language Learner Coordinator to the supplemental salary schedule, and a high school water service line replacement quote from Young Plumbing & Heating for $13,700, among other items.
During his report, Superintendent Travis Fleshner shared that the certified enrollment for 2024-25 is 794.48 students, an increase of .55 students, and that the property on the north end of the high school baseball field is still awaiting action and a proposal from the City of Parkersburg in order to move forward.
The next meeting will be Monday, November 18.
