The Belmond-Klemme volleyball team will look to track down their first win over Lake Mills in the Bound Era as the programs meet in a Class 2A Region 5 quarterfinal on Wednesday.

Addy Lamb has had the power swing on the Broncos front line with a TIC-West leading 319 kills. Shaylee Aguilera has kept the Broncos offense on schedule with a TIC-West leading 636 assists. B-K Head Coach Leigh Faaborg on entering the match with a fresh mindset and setting the tone set by set in the postseason.
“Each game for us is a new game, I think that’s important to remember as we face Lake Mills. Their a conference team with a lot of history and always a really strong program. We need to approach the postseason as any night can be our night,” says Faaborg. “I know our kids know the things they need to do to be successful. They need to minimize runs, preaching the first to five, first to 10 setting the tone each game and not taking any plays off, the things that we’ve really worked hard on all season. I know they know how to do those things it’s doing them consistently and doing them for several games in a row. We need to not let them compete with us when we have the chance to swing hard and push the play from our side of the court.”
Lake Mills (20-14) went 2-3 at the Algona tournament to close the regular season on October 19th. Avery Eastvold is the Bulldogs top hitter with 207 kills. X factors for the Bulldogs have been TIC-West team leading marks in blocks (231) and service aces (222).
Lake Mills won 3-1 in their regular season meeting on September 3.
The winner will face either #5(2A)Aplington-Parkersburg or Ogden in a regional semifinal on October 28th.
First serve is at 7:00 p.m. in Lake Mills.
