This week the Grundy Center City Council was informed that the Lead Service Line Inventory report was submitted to the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.

Now, notices will be sent out to those listed with lead and galvanized metal service lines, stating they will need to be updated.

In other business, the Grundy Center council approved five BIG, or Business Innovations Grants, to various businesses in town.

For example, one of the grants for $10,112 will be going to the Center Theatre.

The funding will be used to make electrical upgrades to the metal marquee signage.  The current marquee is the original one installed in 1940.
